An LED display is not one product. A screen that looks brilliant inside a showroom will be unreadable on a facade at noon, and a panel built to survive a Bangalore monsoon is heavier, brighter and more expensive than anything you need indoors. Getting this wrong is expensive and slow to undo, because the mounting structure and power run are usually built around the panel you first chose.

So we do the boring part first. Where is it going, who is looking at it, from how far away, in what light, and who updates the content once it's up. Those five answers determine almost everything else — pitch, brightness, cabinet type, service access, and what the whole thing genuinely costs to own.

What actually decides the specification

Five questions determine most of the cost and nearly all of the disappointment. Worth understanding before anyone quotes you.

Viewing distance sets the pixel pitch — not your budget

Pixel pitch is the gap in millimetres between LED centres; a P4 panel has roughly 4 mm between pixels. The common rule of thumb is that the pitch in millimetres is about the closest distance in metres at which the image still looks solid rather than dotty. A display people stand two metres from needs a much finer pitch than one read from across a road — and finer pitch costs more per square foot. Decide the distance first and the pitch stops being a negotiation.

Indoor and outdoor are different classes of hardware

An outdoor display has to stay readable against direct sunlight, shed rain, survive dust and shrug off heat — that means a brighter panel, a sealed cabinet and a different thermal design. You cannot put an indoor panel outside under a canopy and hope. The reverse also matters: an outdoor-grade panel indoors is overkill you paid for, and often too bright to look at comfortably.

Service access decides the cabinet, and nobody asks until it's too late

Panels are serviced either from the front or from the back. If the display sits flat against a wall or inside a shallow recess, there is no room to get behind it — which makes front-serviceable cabinets the only sane choice, and that has to be settled before the structure is fabricated. Retrofitting access to a display that is already mounted usually means dismantling it.

Someone has to update the content, forever

The display is the visible half. The other half is a player and a way to schedule what runs on it, at a level of difficulty that matches whoever will actually do it — often a shop manager, not an IT team. If nobody can change the content without calling a vendor, the screen ends up showing the same loop for a year and stops earning its cost.

The panel is not the project cost

A realistic budget covers the mounting structure, the power supply and cabling, the installation itself, the content setup, and the service cover afterwards. This is why a quote expressed only as a price per square foot is not comparable to another one — the two can hide completely different scopes.     You get the display specified for that site, with the structure, power, installation, content setup and service cover itemised — so you can see what each part costs and where you can trade off.

  4. 4. Supply and installation

    Fabrication, delivery and installation are scheduled and coordinated by us, including the structural and electrical work around the panel.

  5. 5. Handover and service

    Content loaded and scheduled, a walkthrough for whoever runs it day to day, and agreed service cover afterwards with a single number to call — ours.

Cost moves with pixel pitch, total area, indoor or outdoor grade, the mounting structure and the installation conditions — the same square footage can differ several-fold across those.
