Bangalore's commercial streets are a mixed bag for displays: narrow high-street frontages where the footpath is close enough that pitch really matters, mall and tech-park units with their own approval processes, and arterial-road positions read from moving traffic at a distance. The right specification differs across all three, which is why we survey the actual site rather than quoting from a photograph.
The climate adds its own constraints. A long monsoon and a lot of airborne dust make sealing quality the thing that decides whether an outdoor display looks the same in year three — and mains reliability is worth a conversation before, not after, an installation goes in.

Short outages and voltage fluctuation are a normal part of running equipment in the city. Whether the display sits on backup, and how it recovers when power returns, are decisions to make during specification. A screen that needs someone to restart it after every cut becomes a daily chore for whoever holds the keys.
Units inside a mall, a tech park or a managed commercial building usually answer to a facilities team with rules about mounting, working hours, lift access and fit-out approvals — separate from any local signage regulation. Those timelines are real and they're best discovered at survey rather than on installation day.
On streets like Commercial Street or the Jayanagar shopping blocks, the footpath is close to the shopfront and the audience is a few metres away. That pushes towards a finer pitch than an arterial-road position needs — and often towards a poster display at the entrance instead of a large panel behind glass.
LED displays are modular and individual panels are replaceable, so the question is never whether something will need attention — it's how quickly someone can get to it. Being in the city is what makes a same-week response practical rather than aspirational.
Outside these areas? Ask anyway — it’s usually a question of service response time rather than the installation itself.
Indoors, the constraint is rarely brightness — it's viewing distance and finish. Get the pitch wrong and a beautiful screen looks like a grid of dots to the customer standing in front of it.
Outside, the display is the easy part. What decides whether it still looks good in year three is the structure, the sealing, the power and who is contracted to fix it.
A corner site is the most valuable frontage a business can have and the most commonly wasted. A display that turns the corner is read by both streets — if the content is designed for a bend rather than a flat wall.
Every other display on this site is a construction decision. A poster display is a purchase you can reposition next week — which makes it the right first screen for most businesses.
A shop display has about two seconds of a pedestrian's attention. Almost every specification decision — brightness, position, pitch, content length — follows from that, and most shops get sold a screen that ignores it.
In a showroom the screen is compared directly against the thing it's showing. Colour that's approximately right reads as wrong when the actual car, sofa or jewellery is two metres away.
A digital menu that a manager can't update by Tuesday lunchtime becomes an expensive printed board. The specification question is who edits it, not how many pixels it has.
Waiting-room screens have two jobs: tell people where they are in the queue, and lower the temperature of the room. Both are wrecked by a display that's too bright, too loud, or occasionally wrong.
