LED posters: the display you can move, and change your mind about.

Every other display on this site is a construction decision. A poster display is a purchase you can reposition next week — which makes it the right first screen for most businesses.

A poster display is a slim, free-standing LED screen on a stand or a wheeled base. It replaces the printed standee at an entrance, a counter or an aisle end — the difference being that the message changes in seconds instead of a reprint, and it holds attention in a way paper stopped doing years ago.

What makes it genuinely different from the other formats is that it isn't built into anything. No mounting structure, no dedicated power run, no fabrication lead time. It arrives, it plugs in, and if the position turns out to be wrong you move it. For a business testing whether a display earns its cost at all, that reversibility is worth more than any specification.

They are also modular. Panels stack to make a taller display or combine into a wider one, so the same units can be a single poster at the door this month and a larger wall for an event next month. Sizes are made to order rather than picked from a fixed catalogue.

Best suited to

  • Shop entrances and doorways, replacing printed standees
  • Promotions and offers that change weekly rather than yearly
  • Reception counters, aisle ends and queue areas
  • Exhibitions, events and pop-ups where the display travels
  • A first display, where the right position isn't settled yet

What to get right

The decisions that are expensive to reverse once the structure is built.

Reversibility is the actual feature

Because nothing is built in, the cost of being wrong is close to zero — you move it, or you use it somewhere else entirely. For a first display this matters more than specification: most businesses discover where a screen earns attention by watching one for a month, not by planning it. Fixed installations don't give you that.

Read at close range, so the pitch is fine

Poster displays are read from a metre or two — someone pausing at a door or standing in a queue. That's the demanding end of the viewing-distance rule, so they use a fine pitch. It's also why buying an outdoor-grade panel for a doorway is money spent on the wrong problem.

Modular sizing, decided by the space not the catalogue

Panels combine into taller or wider configurations, so the display is sized to the doorway, the alcove or the counter it has to fit. Worth measuring the space and its clearances first — including how the display gets through the door on delivery.

Movable means it needs to survive being moved

A display that gets wheeled around, taken to an event and set up by whoever is free is exposed to knocks that a wall-mounted panel never sees. Base stability, edge protection and how simple the setup is matter more here than raw specification — a screen nobody can put up on their own stays in the store room.

Indoor by default

Poster displays are built for indoor use — entrances, interiors and covered areas. A doorway that gets direct sun or driven rain is an outdoor position regardless of whether it has a roof, and needs outdoor-grade hardware instead. We'll flag it during the assessment if that's your case.

Typical installations

  • Entrance and doorway displays
At the shop door, carrying the current offer to people walking past. The direct replacement for a printed standee, updated in seconds rather than reprinted.
  • Promotion and offer displays
Inside the store at an aisle end or near the counter, changed as often as the promotion does — which is what makes the format pay for itself against print costs.
  • Event and exhibition displays
Travels to the stand, sets up without tools, goes back to the shop afterwards. One purchase covering both uses instead of a reprint for every event.
  • Multi-panel configurations
Several units combined into a taller or wider display for a feature position, then separated again for individual use. Sizes are made to order for the space.

FAQ

Questions before you book the survey.

That's the point of the format — wheeled or free-standing base, mains power, no fixings. Larger multi-panel configurations take two people and a few minutes. If a display needs to travel to events regularly, tell us during the assessment and we'll specify with that in mind rather than for a static position.

Not sure what you need? That's what the assessment is for.

Tell us where it's going and roughly what you want it to do. Every question has an "I'm not sure" option — working the answers out is our job, not yours.
